For the walnut cookies, make a shortcrust dough from nuts, very cold margarine, flour with baking powder, powdered sugar and gingerbread spice and chill for at least one hour.

Knead the dough again, roll it out on flour and cut out small flowers or discs. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake at 180 degrees for about 6 minutes. When the cookies have cooled, glue two each with any jam.

Squeeze the lemon, mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with the powdered sugar and then slowly add more juice until you get a nice glaze.

Dip one side of the cookies briefly in the icing, place a walnut piece on top and let the walnut cookies dry.
