Instructions:

For the spleen sausage burger, first coat the spleen sausage slice in flour, then in beaten egg (seasoned with salt and pepper) and then in breadcrumbs and fry until it has a nice golden brown color.

Toast the top and bottom of the burger bun on the inside.

Place the lettuce leaves on the bottom, place the spleen sausage patty on top, add the mustard and spread.

Slice the pickle lengthwise and place on top of the mustard along with the sliced radishes and cress.

Lastly, place the fried onions on top and fold the spleen sausage burger closed with the top bun.

Preparation Tip:

Milzwurst is a Bavarian specialty from Upper and Lower Bavaria. The main ingredients are Weißwurst sausage meat and small dark pieces of spleen. Milzwurst has a much firmer consistency than the rather soft and fluffy Weißwurst.
