For the Szeged-style pork chops, first pre-cook the raw sauerkraut with the lid closed for about 30 minutes.

Roast the bacon without additional fat until crispy brown. Add onion and chili peppers, steam briefly. Add the pre-cooked sauerkraut to the frying pan and deglaze with the soup. Add the tomato puree and season.

Season the chops with pepper, cumin and salt and rub them with the pressed garlic. Sear the chops heartily on both sides in the oil, then place them on the sauerkraut and let them steep for ten to fifteen minutes with the lid closed.

Mix the sauerkraut well with the sour cream and arrange on a platter. Place the Szeged-style pork chops on top.
