For the garlic soup, toast bread cut into small cubes in fat until light brown. Put out 6 tablespoons of bread cubes for sprinkling.
Fry onion and garlic briefly, add soup and cook for about 8 minutes. Season to taste with spices and puree with blender. Bring to the boil again.
Serve the garlic soup with bread and cheese cubes, and sprinkle with chives.
Preparation Tip:
Sprinkle the garlic soup with chopped parsley instead of chives.
