For the curd cheese, allow the butter to reach room temperature in good time. Pass the curd through a sieve as desired and mix with the butter (or briefly mix the curd together with the butter using a hand blender).

Finely dice the onions and garlic and add together with the crème fraîche. Stir in chopped capers and anchovy paste and season to taste with salt and pepper. Finally, mix in the chopped herbs.

Arrange curd cheese in a bowl and sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs. Serve with crusty bread or pastries.
