For cornbread, first preheat oven to 190 °C. Butter a springform pan (25 cm diameter).

Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl. Mix the liquid ingredients together and mix with the other ingredients.

Pour the batter into the pan and bake in the oven for about 35 minutes. Test with chopsticks. Remove the bread from the pan and let cool.

Cut the cornbread into 2 1/2 cm cubes and spread out on a baking sheet. Let dry at room temperature for 2 days.
