Instructions:

A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Dough: Mix vegetable margarine, butter, sugar, vanilla flavoring, salt and lemon zest until creamy. Alternately add the eggs and sifted flour little by little. Combine ground and chopped breadcrumbs, nuts, baking powder, cooking chocolate and cinnamon and mix in.

Finally, fold in the drained, chopped Amarena cherries and walnut brandy. Grease a loaf pan and dust with flour. Pour the finished mixture into it and spread it smoothly. Bake in a heated oven at 200 °C convection oven for about 20 minutes, then turn down to 165 °C and continue baking for about 30 minutes. Wooden skewer test: If no dough remains on the skewer, the cake is ready. After baking, cool in the pan for about one hour, then turn out onto a cooling rack.

Frosting: Boil the Amarena juice-milk mixture with the whipped cream once and let it stand for 20 minutes. Strain and stir the cooking chocolate-nougat mixture into the liquid, bubble once. Remove the saucepan from the stove and continue stirring until the nougat and cooking chocolate have melted. At lukewarm heat, coat the cake with it. Garnish with whole nuts and halved Amarena cherries.
